The first major museum exhibition of Ömie bark cloth took place at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia in 2009. Now on view for the first time in the United States at the de Young from October 6, 2012 to February 17, 2013, Contemporary Ömie Bark Cloth features a selection of 10 works borrowed from the National Gallery of Victoria's permanent collection.
