This volume is comprised of two stories. In the first story, An Authentic Narrative of a Haunted House, a man and his family take up residence in an old house in the country at his doctor’s advice. The rest of the story tells the mystery events in that house. The second story, Ultor De Lacy: A Legend of Cappercullen deals with two sisters in an old castle with strange dreams.
